Funding awarded for Open interactive textbooks @ TU Delft: Next Level

Boekje booklet 11 awarded oesf projects

Great news! The TeachBooks development team, together with colleagues from the TU Delft Library and former Open Interactive Textbooks initiative, has applied for funding from TU Delft’s Open Science Programme (part of our previous activities was funded by this programme too, next to other sources). Our shared proposal focusses on embedding the support, partly provided by TeachBooks’ enthusiasts, in the existing support structure of TU Delft.

We’ve just heard that our joint proposal has been accepted!

Part of this funding will fuel the development of more open-source tooling and documentation by TeachBooks, streamlining the process of creating books for everyone. So yes, you too! Even if you’re not affiliated with TU Delft!

Another part will be dedicated on providing TU Delft book authors with support for creating and publishing their book. But no worries, all additionally generated tooling will be shared open-source via TeachBooks too!

While making all of above possible, we’ll investigate how TU Delft can support such a process from its existing support structure. Maybe your organisation/institution/company will benefit from our findings too? Stay tuned!
